Just a stone’ throw from the Estate, on this most southwesterly tip of the island’s Bukit peninsula, is the New Kuta Golf Club, the country’s first links championship course. Everywhere you look there are jaw-dropping scenes: the club is edged between white limestone cliffs and the blue horizon of the ocean, in a natural desert-like setting, amid native trees, shrubs and grass. With its commanding views over the beautiful Dreamland and Balangan beaches, the course will challenge the lowest of handicappers and delight the most novice among us, with plenty of variety to suit all standards in between.
